Keep Your Gut Healthy Part 1

There are many reasons why you should keep your gut in a healthy state. Too many health issues spring from problems relating to our intestines and bowels that many people sweep under the carpet or are genuinely unaware of.

So in a mini-series of articles, I’ll be outlining some great ways to keep your gut healthy – which will help to keep YOU healthy.

So I’ll start off this instalment with what should be obvious to the health conscious but maybe not so for the couch potato! I mean, of course exercise.

Of course we all know how important it is to exercise regularly, but you might not be aware that working out also keeps your bowels in a healthy state. Well, a recent study was carried out in the US on mice that carried a gene predisposing them to bowel cancer. The findings showed that mice who exercised every day by running on a wheel reduced their chances of the cancer manifesting, compared with mice that didn’t.

Dr Lisa Colbert of the University of Wisconsin-Madison who was the lead author of the study said “Evidence suggests higher levels of activity and lower body weight reduce the risk of colon cancer.”

So get physical every day even if it’s for twenty minutes of light exercise like walking the dogs, riding a bike or going to the gym. You’ll feel better in yourself after only a few days of regular exercise and your gut will thank you for it!

There will be more instalments on this theme to come.

Oh, this is a great theme! Personally I don’t know what to eat and how to eat to avoid intoxications. Seems, I’m alergic on every food. Normally the big reaction is 2-3 days after and I even don’t know what was the matter of it. I think it’s nervous in great part. Will wait for your posts! They are important!

Yes, this is a very good theme and one which I have quite a few articles in the pipeline for, which I’ll try to post every couple of days or so – time permitting!

You’ll probably find that most problems with food stem from stress or worry – allergies that weren’t there many years ago and then suddenly appear – your body was able to accept them then, so why not now?

I’ll hopefully get to the root of this as the articles go on
