Lazy Weight Loss?

Lazy weight loss sounds like a Utopian dream, but actually there are ways of losing weight without putting so much effort into it! My last post “Alternative Acne Treatments”, looked at some alternative treatments for acne that every teenager should know about. This post is going back to the healthy side of life and looking at ways to lose some weight without the strain, pain but still with the gain!
So how can you lose weight by doing very little?
The secret to lazy weight loss is very simple and its all about your state of mind. You see you can train your thoughts to create for you a perfect image of how you want to be and also the realisation that it is easy to accomplish. That’s the key – you have to know, truly believe that is is easy and once you have trained your mindset into this belief, then it becomes easy!
Does that sound like mumbo jumbo to you? If it does, then you have two choices.
Either leave the site now because you will simply never get it, or stay with it and try to get your head around this. Because it is th truth and believe it or not, medical science is slowly coming around to recognising the awesome power of the mind to make miracles happen.
If you’re still reading, there is definitely hope for you! I’m sure you’ve heard plenty of stories of people who have been diagnosed with incurable diseases and given a few months to live, who have gone on to astound their doctors by making a full recovery and going on to live a long and healthy life. These are not just stories. They are true accounts of real people really getting well again after being told they would certainly die. How is this possible?
These people had one thing in common. They refused to believe what their doctors had told them and set about to get better by themselves. They did that by believing they were getting better. Once the mind believes something, it brings it into the realm of the actual. If you believe you are completely healthy, you become completely healthy. On the contrary, if you believe you are dying of cancer, guess what is going to happen? Mmm.
Similarly, on a not so life-threateningly serious note, if you believe you are overweight and nothing you do will shift the extra pounds, guess what? You are going to stay overweight and probably get even heavier.
On the contrary, when you believe you are at your ideal healthy weight, your body and your actions and your lifestyle all rally round to bring about what you already believe. It’s no miracle. It’s not magic and it’s not mumbo jumbo. It’s real. As a hypnotherapist, I’ve seen this happen time and time again with people who were overweight and through their own beliefs couldn’t lose any weight. After going through my weight loss sessions, I simply altered that inner way of thinking from:
“I am overweight and there is nothing I can do about it”
to
“I am at my perfect healthy weight and I feel great about it!”
Did they lose weight? You bet they did! They didn’t just sit in a chair and watch the weight fall off them, they actually started getting out and about more, walking more (which is a good form of light exercise) and eating more of the right foods and fewer of the bad foods without consciously dieting or consciously doing any form of exercise routine. These were a set of internally hardwired weight loss tips that everyone has, but few use. It came naturally to do more of the things that the body needs on order to lose weight, all though the power of right-thinking and belief in the fact that they were actually enjoying being at their perfect healthy weight.
You know, you actually don’t need someone else to tell you this, whether it be through hypnosis or any other form of “therapy”, as once you have the knowledge, you can just as easily do it for yourself.
Because in the end, it is only you who can create your own ideal weight. Only you can believe that you are healthy and at your ideal weight. The same way that those people who were left for dead by their doctors only got better by themselves because no one else could do it for them.
Likewise, no one else can lose weight for you. It is only you.
