Not in just any old place, of course, but whenever you come upon an old cobbled road or pathway, you’ll get some amazing benefits from taking your shoes and socks off and walking slowly over the cobbles barefoot.
Why?
Well, the Chinese do this all the time, because they know that the cobbles, being uneven but smooth underfoot actually massage the pressure points on the soles of your feet that equate to the same points that a reflexologist will use to sooth and heal. Simply by slowly walking along over the cobbles, you get a free foot massage!
This helps relax you and re-align the energy medians in your body making for better health and vitality in all your internal organs as well as give you a much needed lift in spirits and a more positive outlook on life.
I’ve tried it myself on a number of occasions. Here in some of the old white pueblos in southern Spain a lot of the old streets that haven’t been concreted over still have all the old smooth cobbles intact. On a warm sunny day, there is nothing better than to walk barefoot over these wonderfully smooth and soothing cobbles - to strange stares from some of the tourists that visit for the day!
I’ve never been one to take much notice of what other people might think of me - my own health and wellbeing is much more important to me than another person’s opinions!
Don’t just take my word for it, go try it for yourself. And smile when you’re doing it, because it really works!
