Are You Still Smoking?

I'll take a break from the natural remedy tips for a moment to ask you are you still smoking? If so, are you trying to quit and if not, why not?

As for the natural remedies and well being tips, there will be plenty more to come, don't worry!

That's because every now and again, I'm reminded of something that is really important that I should write about in here.

The title says it all really.

If you are still a smoker, then whatever else you try to do to improve your health it is being undermined a hundredfold by your intake of all the poisonous chemicals contained in tobacco smoke.

Do I need to go into what all those chemicals are right here?

Surely not, as by now I believe that just about every smoker on the planet knows that it is bad for their health.

If you don't fall into this category and actually believe for some unknown reason that cigarette (tobacco) smoke is not harmful to you, your health and the health of those around you, then wake up and get educated!

Smoking Will Kill You!

That's no idle statement, it's a fact.

If you don't die directly from cancer of the lungs, throat, esophagus, or mouth, or from a heart attack caused by the narrowing and hardening of your arteries, you will probably die of an indirect cause of smoking, like thrombosis, stroke, embolism, cancer of other organs, and leukemia.

Add to that dying of shock caused by having to have your leg amputated because gangrene had set in due to the lack of blood supply, caused by blocked arteries, caused by the nicotine in tobacco smoke.

That last one happened to a friend of mine ten years ago. He was one of those people who knew his sixty a day habit was killing him but didn't want to do anything about it, "because I enjoy a cigarette."

The loving wife and children he left behind weren't best pleased by his selfishness.

Still Want to Smoke?

Well if you want to quit but are having a hard time doing it, there are many self-help books around that all claim to be able to help you to quit the habit.

Unfortunately, they can only advise, show you methods, ways and means, and give you directions on how to stop. What they can't do is MAKE YOU QUIT.

There's only one person who can do that.

YOU!

But if you have the determination and the want to actually quit, then you stand a very good chance of success. There is a program that has had a lot of success with people who are determined to quit.

It's pricey, but then what price do you place on your life? If you want to read some more about it, there is a link to the website at the end of this post, of you can click on the image on the left.

The bottom line is that it has to be your decision to quit and yours alone. Because only you can make you quit and stay quit, nobody else.
